About ASPA

The Authentication Solution Providers’ Association (ASPA) is a self-regulated, non-profit organization of authentication solution providers. Formed in 1998 with the objective to curb counterfeit product in various sector, it is the only association of its type in the world primarily focused on the adoption and advancement of authentication technology and solutions for brand, revenue and document protection. As an industry body of authentication solutions providers, ASPA encourage its members to adopt best practices, standards and usage of advance technology in providing cost effective anti-counterfeiting solutions against counterfeiting. ASPA members protect over 15,000 brands worldwide through the identification of genuine products and documents. ASPA works closely with global authorities such as International Hologram Manufacturers Association (IHMA), Counterfeit Intelligence Bureau (CIB), FICCI-CASCADE , Indian Beverage Association (IBA) & others industry bodies in India.
ASPA Milestones

2018: ASPA organised The Authentication Forum 2018, 2nd Leadership Summit on Anti-Counterfeiting and Brand Protection in India

2018: ASPA completed 20 years of Authentication, unveils new logo

2017: ASPA announces series of Workshop on Brand Protection Awareness in India. The first workshop was held on 12th July at Indore, while, 2nd one was conducted at Hyderabad on October 5, 2017.

2017: ASPA & Messe Frankfurt India (MFI) organised The Authentication Forum, India’s first Leadership Summit on Anti-Counterfeiting and Brand Protection in India

2016: ASPA & MFI join hands to host first international Authentication Conference in India

2014: HoMAI was renamed as ASPA becoming the only global association representing authentication industry.

2013: India host first global holography conference in India

2012: ASPA appointed as committee member at FICCI-CASCADE (Committee Against Smuggling and Counterfeiting Activities Destroying the Economy)

2011: Developed first of its kind “Hologram Safety and Security Management Standards (HSSMS) with TUV Rheinland India.

2010: ASPA Hologram Image Registration was merged with IHMA Hologram Image Register.

2010: Industry crossed (primarily security hologram) the market size of US $ 100 million.

2008: ASPA President Mr. U K Gupta received the Brian Monaghan Award by IHMA (International Hologram Manufacturers Association) for business innovation in Indian holography.

1998: Industry Association HoMAI was formed by 9 members and industry size of US $ 13 million.

1991: Holography started in India with 2 or 3 companies.
